Heaton Park Running Events
This event takes place at Heaton Park, a large green space located just north of Manchester. The venue features a Grade 1 listed neoclassical 18th-century house, providing the backdrop for several road running distances. Participants can choose between the following options:
- Half Marathon
- 10 km
- 5 km
- Junior race
The course is organized with official distance flags marking every kilometre. Marshals are positioned throughout the park to guide runners along the route. The event infrastructure includes a central village area where food and drink options are available, alongside items provided by event partners at the finish line.
The organizers place a focus on sustainability and offer a flexible entry system regarding event apparel. Specifically, participants have the option to purchase an event t-shirt featuring the race logo during the registration process rather than having one automatically included, which is intended to reduce the overall cost and environmental impact.
