Run Garioch returns on 10 May 2026 with four distances, from a Junior Run to a Half Marathon. The Inverurie based event supports local charities and the community focused Garioch Sports Centre. It aims to encourage participation and healthy lifestyles for all.

The Event

Run Garioch will take place on Sunday, 10 May 2026. It is a running event based at the Garioch Sports Centre in Inverurie, Aberdeenshire.

Distances

The event offers four races:

A 5k run for ages 12 and over.
A 10k run.
A Half Marathon.
A Junior Run for children aged four to 12.

Event Details

The event works with several local charities, including Aberdeen Football Club Community Trust (AFCCT), AberNecessities, All Life Chances, Cash for Kids, CHAS, Community Integrated Care and Inverurie Community Partnership. A funding initiative by the IYSF covers the cost of event entry and a t-shirt for some children participating in the Junior Run and 5k.

Run Garioch supports the Garioch Sports Centre, a registered Scottish charity. The event's stated vision is to provide an opportunity for participation in running, encourage healthy lifestyles, and empower young people and volunteers.
