Race categories:
- 5 km race (age 12 and older)
- Children's race, ages 8 to 11 (tubing included)
- Children's race, ages 4 to 7 (tubing included)
Entry fees are set by the organiser: the 5 km entry is £10 and each children's race is £7.50, each plus the Entry Central processing fee. A service fee of 4% (minimum 50p) applies per sign-up. Online entries close on 30 November 2026.
Course information and facilities are provided on the day. Start and finish lines are located at the Nordic centre and will be signed. Marshals will be positioned on the course for safety and instructions should be followed. Race timing is not chip timed. Medals are provided for all finishers and water is available at the finish. Parking is available near the ski centre but spaces are limited. After the runs, festive baked goods are available to buy and hot drinks can be purchased.
The event is organised by Gordon Rural Action and runs under UK Athletics rules. The 5 km is open to runners aged 12 and older; younger runners may be accepted if accompanied and run with an adult. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
