Run With the Cops - Williamston
Run With the Cops is part of Williamston's National Night Out at McCormick Park on August 4, 2026. The event brings together local law enforcement, runners, walkers, families, and community organizations for an evening of community activities and short park races.
The running portion is a sprint through the park. Each participant will run approximately 100–500 meters, and some participants may run a bit farther. Separate kids and adult races are scheduled in the evening during the National Night Out program.
McCormick Park will host a variety of family-focused activities during the event, including first responder vehicles and equipment on display, a live DJ at the bandshell, a petting zoo, a water shower or splash area for children when weather permits, free hot dogs, and vendors with giveaways. There will be appearances by mascots, and donuts will be available at the finish line.
Registration opens May 6, 2026 and closes July 20, 2026. Registration is free (registration fee listed as $0.00). Optional training programs are available: a 4 week program that includes four class credits, and an 8 week program that includes eight class credits, both intended to prepare participants before the event.
