Run with the Cops - Williamston
Run with the Cops is a community running event held at McCormick Park in Williamston on August 4, 2026. The event is presented as part of Williamston's National Night Out and brings together local law enforcement, runners, walkers, families, and community members.
The primary organized distance is a short course of 500 m, with separate kids and adult races. Kids 12 and under may participate free with a paying adult. Proceeds from the event support local law enforcement.
The event program includes public safety displays with first responders, vehicles, and equipment to explore, a live DJ at the bandshell, a petting zoo, a water splash area for children when weather permits, free hot dogs, vendors, giveaways, and participation by local businesses and community organizations. There are special appearances from Sparty mascots and donuts at the finish.
Optional preparatory programs are offered before race day: a 4-week training program that includes four class credits and is described as beginner-friendly, and an 8-week program that includes eight class credits for a more gradual build up to the event.
