Run Forest Run 5k : Seattle

Run Forest Run 5k is an annual themed 5k held at Green Lake Park in Seattle on January 24, 2026. The start and finish are located on the east side of the Green Lake Community Center, with the course running around Green Lake.

The event draws on the Forrest Gump theme; costumes are encouraged but not required. Participants wearing Forrest Gump costumes are allowed to start in the front of the field. A course map is available.

Registered participants receive a custom finisher medal made from reclaimed wood to reduce metal waste, professional race photos at no additional cost, and a long sleeve shirt with sizes guaranteed and availability noted on 1/5/26. A free bag is offered for registrations completed by 1/5/26, and additional swag is provided while supplies last. Photo backdrops and finish line items are part of the event setup.

Packet pickup is arranged before the race and event breakdown occurs afterward. A portion of event proceeds will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
