Run For Your Life - Eugene, OR
Run For Your Life is a zombie-themed 5K taking place on October 18, 2026 at 200 Day Island Rd in Eugene, Oregon. All event proceeds will benefit ShelterCare, a nonprofit that provides housing and behavioral health services to people experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness.
The Alton Baker course will feature more than 100 volunteer zombies positioned along the route. Zombies will not touch participants and are not to be touched; some zombie makeup may be too intense for young children. Dogs are not permitted except for service animals.
Participants may run or walk; strollers and mobility devices are welcome. Runners are asked to line up toward the front of the start line and strollers toward the back. A timing chip is attached to the race bib; participants must return the chip after the run; race times are printed and posted after the event.
The course is fully paved except for the first 100 feet and the last 100 feet, which are on gravel. Registration and vendor areas are on gravel and an ADA porta potty will be on site. There is no on-site bag check.
Packet pick-up is scheduled for October 13 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Falling Sky Brewing; packets and shirts can also be picked up the day of the event and electronic packets are sent the day prior. Day-of registration is available and organizers accept card, cash, and Venmo.
Additional on-site offerings include free face painting, stretching led by Vista Counseling and Wellness Center, a Thrill the World Eugene flash mob performance, vendor booths, and awards such as completion and zombie survival medals for youth and trophies for fastest youth and adult.
