Run For Your Life - Eugene
Run For Your Life - Eugene is a zombie themed 5K organized by ShelterCare on October 18, 2026 at 200 Day Island Rd in Eugene, Oregon. All event proceeds will benefit ShelterCare, a nonprofit that provides housing and behavioral health services to people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
The course follows the Alton Baker race course and will feature more than 100 volunteer zombies positioned along the route. Zombies will not touch participants and some makeup may be intense for young children. Dogs are not allowed except for service animals.
Participants may run or walk and strollers and mobility devices are permitted; strollers should line up toward the back of the start area. Each race bib includes a timing chip that records start and finish times; chips must be turned in after the race and times will be provided and posted. Race chips may be reused when possible.
The course is fully paved except for the first 100 feet and the last 100 feet, which are on gravel. Registration and vendor booths are also located on gravel. An ADA porta potty will be on-site. Packet pickup is available virtually, with a limited number of paper packets available on race day.
Event activities include free face painting, guided stretching, a flash mob performance, and vendor booths from sponsors. There is no on-site bag check. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
