Run for Your Life 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk - Norman
This event takes place on October 17, 2026 in Norman, Oklahoma at Ruby Grant Park (4343 36th Avenue NW). The program includes a timed 5K, an untimed 1 mile run/walk, and a separate youth Trick or Treat Trot hosted by Norman Parks and Recreation.

The 5K is a timed race and will include adult-themed elements such as strobe lights and fog machines; it is not recommended for people with epilepsy, light sensitivities, certain health conditions, or minors. The 1 mile offering is an untimed run or walk. The youth Trick or Treat Trot is a separate, open trick-or-treat event at the same site and is not a race.
Fee inclusions are specified by event. The 5K fee lists a fun race medal, a custom race bib with timing tag, a custom flashlight while supplies last, one beer ticket for entrants over 21, and access to Halloween-themed activities; a custom race shirt is available as an add-on with details forthcoming. Registration opens January 12, 2026 and has different closing dates by event. Race day registration will close 15 minutes prior to each race start. Packet pickup is available before race week at Beanstalk Coffee & Sno, 3408 36th Ave NW, Norman, and race-day pickup is available on site starting one hour before the race.
