Event Overview
Run for your L...anguage is a 5K walk and run event held in Durham, North Carolina. Organized by the Trinity Language Council at Duke University, the Department of Romance Studies, and Duke Service-Learning, the event aims to promote world languages on campus while supporting the Durham Literacy Center.
Course and Activities
The route functions as a journey through different languages. At the beginning of the event, participants receive a "passport" to carry with them. Along the 5K course, various foreign language tables are positioned as stations. Participants engage with these tables by completing specific language challenges to collect stamps in their passports.
Participation Details
The event is open for both runners and walkers. Participants have the opportunity to earn prizes by successfully completing a designated number of language challenges along the route. Registration is supported through one-time donations to the Durham Literacy Center.
