Event Overview

The Run For Veterans is an annual running event held on Sunday, April 26, 2026. The purpose of the event is to support the fundraising programs of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7666.

Location

The event takes place at Martin-Bishop Memorial Field, located at 111 Long Hill Rd in Guilford, Connecticut.

Participants can choose from two certified USATF race distances:

10K
5K

Registration and Fees

Registration for the event is only available online, including on race day. The individual entry fee for either race varies by date:

$30 before March 7
$35 before April 20
$40 thereafter The listed fees include payment processing fees. On race day, all registered entrants must check in to collect their race number.

Awards

Awards are presented in both races. For the 10K, awards are given to the first overall male and female finishers, as well as to the first male and female winners in multiple age groups (ages 01-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+).
