Clear Creek Half Marathon
The Clear Creek event offers a point-to-point half marathon plus 10K and 5K races on Clear Creek Canyon Road near Richfield in Sevier County, Utah. The half marathon descends about 1300 ft from roughly 7000 ft to 5612 ft, running beside a creek through steep canyon cliffs and past the Fremont Indian park with multiple points of interest such as Newspaper Rock and the Cave of 100 Hands.
Distances:
- Half marathon: 1300 ft descent from 7000 ft to 5612 ft, along Clear Creek.
- 10K: Start 3.1 miles west of finish, shuttled, no personal vehicles allowed.
- 5K: Start 3.1 miles west of finish, shuttled, no personal vehicles allowed.
The starting area at the top of Clear Creek Canyon will have porta potties. Aid stations are located at miles 2.25, 4, 6, 8.5, 10.5, and 11.8, providing water and Gatorade (water only at mile 2.25); several locations include portable toilets and one restroom at mile 9.25 is available. Parking for supporters is provided north of the finish on Clear Creek Canyon Road; the finish area includes an aid station, refreshments, and bathrooms.
Additional details: all participants receive a race shirt; finishers receive medals; overall top three men and women receive prizes. Packet pickup is available at Richfield City Park and for a fee at the finish parking lot on race day. Age divisions begin at 14 and under and extend to 70 and over.
