Clear Creek Half Marathon
The Clear Creek event on Saturday, May 16th, 2026 is a point to point race in Sevier County, Utah, that includes a half marathon plus 10K and 5K options. The half marathon starts at the top of Clear Creek Canyon near I-70 exit 7 and finishes near Highway 89 at 500 W Clear Creek Canyon Road in Sevier. The course descends about 1300 feet from roughly 7000 ft down to about 5612 ft and follows Clear Creek Canyon road beside a creek and through steep canyon cliffs.
The route passes the Fremont Indian park area and its fourteen points of interest, including Newspaper Rock, Cave of 100 Hands, Indian Blanket and the Sheep Shelter Cave. Aid stations are located at multiple mile markers and provide water and Gatorade; one early station provides water only. Additional restrooms and porta potties are available near portions of the course and at the finish area. The finish area includes an aid station, refreshments and bathrooms.
Logistics noted by the organizer include a shuttle from the finish to the starting area and the option for participants to be dropped off at the start. Parking for spectators is available north of the finish on Clear Creek Canyon Road. All participants receive a race shirt; finisher medals are given to those who complete the course and prizes are awarded to the top three overall men and women.
