Run for the Troops 5K : Andover, MA
Run for the Troops 5K is a fundraising event held at Central Park, 36 Bartlet Street, Andover, Massachusetts on November 8, 2026. The event honors military service and raises funds for veterans programs. The 2026 beneficiaries include Ironstone Farm, The Homeland Heroes Foundation, It Takes A Herd Foundation, Strongwater Farm, and Veterans Adaptive Sports & Training. The organizing nonprofit has raised more than $500,000 since its inception and has a 2026 fundraising goal of $50,000.
Offered event distances and formats:
- 5K in person at Central Park, Andover
- 5K Virtual through Kinomaps, run the official course remotely
- Forever Young Run (age 65+) : 1/4 to 1 mile at the Doherty Middle School field
- Kids Run (age 13 and under) : 1/4 to 1 mile at the Doherty Middle School field
Registration notes and rules are specified by the organizer. Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. The first 1,500 registered participants who register by October 26, 2026 will receive a 2026 limited edition t-shirt. Participants may create or join teams; a Qualified Team consists of 20 or more participants. Team creation and joining closes on October 19, 2026. Team fundraising is accepted through November 3, 2026 and individual donations are accepted through the event date. The virtual 5K requires a smart treadmill, bike, or elliptical that connects to Kinomaps and the Kinomaps app with a promo code. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
