Run for the Troops 5K
Run for the Troops 5K takes place in Central Park, 36 Bartlet Street, Andover, Massachusetts on November 8, 2026. The event raises funds for veterans programs and lists beneficiaries for 2026 as Ironstone Farm, The Homeland Heroes Foundation, It Takes A Herd Foundation, Strongwater Farm, and Veterans Adaptive Sports & Training. Since its inception the event has raised more than $500,000 and the fundraising goal for 2026 is $50,000.
The program includes several event options and age categories:
- 5 km in person
- Virtual 5K delivered via Kinomaps
- Forever Young Run for age 65 and over, distance 1/4 to 1 mile
- Kids Run for age 13 and under, distance 1/4 to 1 mile
The in person 5K registration fee is shown as $50.14 and the virtual 5K fee is shown as $50.14. The Forever Young and Kids events are listed at $12.69. Registration fees are non refundable and non transferable. The first 1,500 registrants for the in person 5K will receive a limited edition 2026 t shirt if registered by October 26, 2026. Team rules note a qualified team requires 20 or more participants and team creation and joining is closed after October 19, 2026.
