Event overview
The Run for the Scrubs is a timed 5K run held in Knoxville, Tennessee at Victor Ashe Park (4901 Bradshaw Road, 37912). The event is presented by the Epsilon Sigma at-Large Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing to raise scholarship funds for nursing students from Lincoln Memorial University, ETSU, Milligan University, King University, and Emory & Henry University. Strollers are allowed.

Registration fees are listed at $38.10 (includes a $3.10 fee). Registration opens January 1, 2026 for the in-person 5K and May 29, 2026 for the virtual 5K.
What is included and event services
Registered participants receive a race T-shirt if they register by August 27. Post-race provisions include snacks, Gatorade, and water. Age group and overall awards will be given, and race photos taken by a professional photographer will be available for free download after the event. Race results are provided via text alerts and on the results tab, and official finisher certificates can be downloaded.
