Run for the Scrubs 5K
The Run for the Scrubs 5K is a timed athletic event held at Victor Ashe Park in Knoxville, Tennessee. Organized by the Epsilon Sigma at-Large Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, the event serves as a fundraiser to provide scholarship funds for nursing students. The proceeds benefit students attending Lincoln Memorial University, East Tennessee State University, Milligan University, King University, and Emory & Henry University.

The physical course at Victor Ashe Park is open to runners, joggers, and walkers, and strollers are permitted on the path. Registration includes a variety of amenities for participants. Those who register by August 31 are guaranteed a unisex race t-shirt. The event features an awards ceremony for overall winners and specific age groups.
On-site amenities include post-race refreshments such as snacks, water, and Gatorade. Professional race photography is provided, with images made available for digital download after the event. Participants receive their timing results through text alerts and can access official finisher certificates online.
