Run for the Roses 5K & Kids Fun Run : Roseville, MN
The Run for the Roses is a community running event held in Roseville, Minnesota. The event uses the Roseville Skating Center and Minnesota OVAL as its base and includes a 5K course that runs through Central Park and along County Road C. The race starting line is on County Road C east of Hamline Avenue.
Distances offered:
- 5K through Central Park and along County Road C
- 1/2 mile around the OVAL track (two laps)
- 1 mile beginning on the OVAL track and around Howard Johnson Park pond
All participants receive a race shirt and a red rose. Youth participants in the Kids Fun Run also receive a medal. Packet pickup is available in the Rose Room at the Roseville Skating Center on the day before and the morning of the event. Exact T-shirt size cannot be guaranteed.
Registration is handled through Race Roster with an open registration period from April 1 through June 27. Entry fees for the 5K are listed as $25 for general registration and $30 for last minute registration. Kids Fun Run fees are listed as $8 for the 1/2 mile and $10 for the 1 mile.
In the event of adverse weather the race may be delayed up to 30 minutes or cancelled; decisions are made the morning of the event and communicated to registrants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
