Run For The Rock in Black Rock, Bridgeport
Run For The Rock is a community running event on June 14, 2026 in the Black Rock neighborhood of Bridgeport, CT at 4 Seabright Ave. The event includes a chip-timed 5K and a free short kids run.
Distances offered:
- 5K run or walk (separate registration categories for 19+ and 18 and under)
- 400 yards free kids run for ages 8 and under
Registration opens February 6. Early bird fees apply through March 31: $35 for ages 19 and over and $25 for 18 and under. Fees increase April 1 and again on June 8. Registration is online only and limited to 450 participants. All registrations are nonrefundable. There is no in-person cash registration if the event is sold out.
Entry includes a race shirt. Pre-race shirt and bib pickup is available the days before the event at designated locations, and on race morning at the Norden Club. The organizers provide chip timing and require bibs to be pinned on the front; exchanging bibs is not allowed.
Course highlights include water views, mostly flat roads with one hill at about 2.2 miles, quiet streets, and at least one water table on course. Awards include overall gift card prizes and age group medals; winners must be present or have a designated person claim awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
