Run for the Ribbons 5K

Event Details

This is the 15th annual Run for the Ribbons event. It takes place in Boca Raton, Florida. The venue is the Lynn Cancer Institute at 701 NW 13th Street.

Distances

Participants can choose from two main distances:

• 5K Run/Walk
• One Mile Run/Walk

Course Information

The 5K uses a certified course. It starts and finishes at the Lynn Cancer Institute and goes through the Old Floresta neighborhood. The one-mile course also starts and finishes at the Lynn Cancer Institute.

Awards and Timing

All participants receive a finisher medal. Additional race awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers, the top three Boca Regional physicians or employees, and the top three in standard 5-year age groups from 10 and under up to 70+. Timing uses the Accuchip system, and results are provided for all finishers.

Registration and Fees

The standard registration fee is $35 for the 5K and one-mile events. A youth rate of $25 is available for participants aged 17 and under. Special pricing of $30 is listed for Baptist employees and for participants aged 17 and under in designated events. Employees of Boca Regional/Bethesda receive a $5 discount. T-shirts are guaranteed only for the first 750 registered participants, and exact sizes are not guaranteed. Teams of five or more can receive a $5 discount per person by emailing for a coupon code.

Packet Pickup

Packet pickup is scheduled at Runner's Edge, located at 3195 N. Federal Highway in Boca Raton, from January 31st to February 7th, ending at noon.
