Event details

The 4th Annual YMCA Run For The Hills 5K/2K takes place on Saturday, October 10, 2026, in Crown Point, Indiana at 3838 W. 141st Avenue (Camp Triangle Hills of Crossroads YMCA). The event includes the following distances:

Entry fees are listed by age: the 5K is $30 for ages 11 and up and $15 for ages 10 and under; the 2K is $20 for ages 11 and up and $10 for ages 10 and under. A race shirt is not guaranteed for registrations submitted after September 10. On-site parking is available.

Course and additional information

The races run on a closed-course that loops through the 144-acre Camp Triangle Hills property and include hilly terrain. The 5K uses computerized on-the-bib timing for results. The event is part of Crossroads YMCA’s Fall Fest; free post-race activities listed for participants and families include rock climbing, a high ropes course, archery, tractor rides, a petting zoo, fishing, and pumpkin launching. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each age group for the 5K. Athena and Clydesdale weight divisions are offered but those entrants are not eligible for Overall, Master, or Age Group awards. The race is included in the Calumet Region Striders' Gold Cup Series.
