Run for the Frontline
Run for the Frontline takes place at Canatara Beach & Park in Sarnia and honours first responders and frontline workers. The event includes timed adult races and a recreational kids run. The start and finish are at the Terry Fox loop and the course passes through scenic sections of the park and surrounding area.
Distances offered:
- 10 km route that includes the scenic sections of the 5 km course.
- 5 km run or walk through and around Canatara Park.
- 1 km fun run for children aged 12 and under, free and not timed.
The 1 km for kids is a single loop of the Terry Fox loop and participants receive participation ribbons. Participants in the 5 km and 10 km races receive finishers medals and a limited edition t shirt. Walking is permitted and service animals and dogs are welcome.
A team challenge called the GUARDIAN CUP is available for the 5 km distance. Teams of four register together, provide a team name, and the four finish times are added and averaged; the team with the fastest average is awarded the trophy and has its name added to the cup. Proceeds from the run will go to charity; past recipients include Project Mental Wellness, Three Oaks Cabin and Boots on the Ground Ontario.
No refunds or bib transfers are offered. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
