Run for the Frontline : Canatara Beach and Park, Sarnia ON
Run for the Frontline is a community run to honour and support first responders and frontline workers. The event is held at Canatara Park with the start and finish at the Terry Fox loop and includes a scenic route through the park.
The distances offered are
- 1 km fun run for kids free for ages 12 and under
- 5 km timed run/walk around Canatara Park
- 10 km timed run including the scenic sections of the 5 km route
The 5 km features the GUARDIAN CUP team challenge for teams of four. Teams register together, each member completes the course, and the four finish times are summed and averaged. The team with the fastest average wins the trophy and has its name added to the cup. Team members do not need to run together and team registration does not require members to be first responders or frontline workers.
Finishers in the timed races receive a medal and a limited edition t-shirt. The 1 km kids event is untimed and offers participation ribbons. Proceeds from the event will go to charity; the beneficiary for the current edition is to be determined and past beneficiaries are noted.
No refunds or bib transfers are available. Service animals and dogs are permitted. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
