Event overview
Run for the Frontline is a community run on October 4, 2026, at Canatara Beach & Park, Lake Chipican Drive, Sarnia, Ontario. The event honours and supports First Responders and frontline workers. The 5 km and 10 km distances are timed. The route starts and ends at the Terry Fox loop and features a scenic run through Canatara Park. Proceeds will go to charity; the specific charity for 2026 is still to be determined. Past recipients included Project Mental Wellness and Three Oaks Cabin (2024) and Boots on the Ground (Ontario) (2025).
Race details
- 1 km fun run for children 12 and under, free and not timed.
- 5 km timed run/walk through and around Canatara Park.
- 10 km timed route that includes the scenic sections of the 5 km.
There is a Guardian Cup team challenge for teams of four in the 5 km distance; teams register together, each member’s finish time is added, and the fastest average wins. Participants in the 5 km and 10 km receive a finisher medal and a limited edition t-shirt. Walking is permitted. Service animals and dogs are allowed. Refunds and bib transfers are not offered.
