Event overview
Run for the Frontline is a community fundraising run on October 4, 2026 in Canatara Beach & Park, Lake Chipican Drive, Sarnia, ON, Canada. The event honors and supports First Responders and frontline workers. Proceeds will go to charity; the specific beneficiary for 2026 is to be decided. Past beneficiaries include Project Mental Wellness, Three Oaks Cabin, and Boots on the Ground (Ontario).
Distances and format
The event offers the following options:
- 1 KM fun run for kids (free, not timed, one lap around the Terry Fox loop; for children 12 and under; participation ribbons provided)
- 5 KM run/walk (scenic route through and around Canatara Park; this distance is timed)
- 10 KM run (scenic route that includes the 5 KM course; this distance is timed)
Teams of four can enter the GUARDIAN CUP team challenge for the 5 KM only. Team scoring adds the four finish times and uses the average time; the fastest average wins and team names will be added to the trophy. Walking is permitted. Service animals and dogs are welcome. All participants in the 5 KM and 10 KM receive a finishers medal and a limited edition t-shirt.
