About the race
Run for the Frontline is a fundraising, timed road run held in Canatara Beach and Park in Sarnia, Ontario on October 4, 2026. The event honors and supports First Responders and frontline workers across many roles, and proceeds for 2026 will go to Boots on the Ground. Past beneficiaries include Project Mental Wellness, Three Oaks Cabin, and Boots on the Ground Ontario. The event offers multiple distance options and a free children s run.
The 10 km course includes the scenic sections of the 5 km route. The 1 km fun run for children is not timed and is for participants aged 12 and under at the time of the event. Finishers in the 5 km and 10 km events receive a challenge coin and a limited edition t shirt. A team competition called the GUARDIAN CUP is open to teams of four on the 5 km distance only.
Teams register together, each member s finish time is recorded, the four times are added and the average determines the winning team. Winning team names will be added to the trophy. Race kit pick up is available on October 2 and October 3 at 546 Christina Street N unit 401A, and race chips must be picked up on the morning of the event. Walking, service animals and dogs, strollers and wagons are permitted.
Event activities include vendors, snacks, and family friendly offerings near the beach. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
