Event overview
Run for the Frontline is a community timed run on Sunday, October 4, 2026, in Canatara Beach & Park, Lake Chipican Drive, Sarnia, Ontario. The event honours and supports First Responders and frontline workers, and proceeds will go to a charity that is still to be decided. Past recipients include Project Mental Wellness and Three Oaks Cabin (2024) and Boots on the Ground (Ontario) (2025). The course starts and ends at the Terry Fox loop and follows a scenic route through Canatara Park.
Race format and details
The event includes multiple distances and a team challenge. Key facts:
- 1 KM fun run for children 12 and under, free, not timed, one lap around the Terry Fox loop. Participation ribbons will be provided.
- 5 KM timed run/walk with the scenic park route.
- 10 KM timed run with the scenic 5 KM included as part of the route.
The Guardian Cup team challenge is for teams of four in the 5 KM only; the four finish times are added and the average time determines the winning team. Walking is permitted, and service animals and dogs are welcome. Participants in the 5 KM and 10 KM will receive a finisher medal and a limited edition t-shirt.
