Run for the Fallen 10K-5K at Merced College
Run for the Fallen at Merced College is a community remembrance event held on November 8, 2026, at Merced College, 3600 M Street, Merced, CA 95348. The event includes a free 5K and a free 10K; these free entries do not include a t-shirt. Commemorative t-shirts will be available for purchase on race day for $25 while supplies last, with proceeds donated to the Merced Field of Honor.
The start and finish are located near the main lawn where the Field of Honor is displayed, close to M Street and Yosemite Avenue. All participants are chip-timed and eligible for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place medals in male and female age groups. Age groups are: 10 & under, 11-13, 14-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+.
A short ceremony to honor local fallen service members takes place before the races. The event is organized by the Merced Sunrise Rotary Club and is connected to the national Run for the Fallen movement and its Field of Honor tributes. Online registration opens August 4, 2026 and closes November 5, 2026. Race-day registration and bib pickup are available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
