Run For The Blue Dallas 2026
Run For The Blue Dallas will take place on July 11, 2026, at 12 Singleton Boulevard in Dallas. The event was founded after the July 7, 2016 ambush that killed five police officers and injured eight others. It supports fallen and injured officers and their families through the Blue Guardian Foundation, a Dallas based 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
The event program includes running and walking distances:
- 10K
- 5K
- 1 Mile
- Virtual participation with shipped packet
Courses use the Trinity Levee Trails and offer views of the Dallas skyline as well as the Margaret Hunt Hill and Margaret McDermott Bridges. The route is mostly on paved trail surfaces with some unpaved sections. Walkers and runners are welcome and the course will remain open for one hour.
Race entry for in-person distances is free and includes a race bib. There is an option to add chip timing for a fee and to purchase event merchandise. Virtual entries include shipment of a bib and any purchased merchandise.
The event includes ceremonies honoring fallen and injured officers. Fundraising proceeds support the Blue Guardian Foundation’s assistance programs for officers and families affected by work related illness, serious injury, loss of income, or loss of life. Volunteer roles are listed for packet pickup, event registration, water stops, course marshal duties, finish line support, and post-event cleanup.
