Run For The Blue Dallas 2026 : event description
Run For The Blue Dallas 2026 is a memorial run and walk held on July 11, 2026, at Trinity Groves in Dallas. The event was founded in response to the July 7, 2016 ambush that killed and injured multiple police officers; ceremonies honoring fallen and injured officers will be part of the day.
The courses follow the Trinity Levee Trail and include views of the Dallas skyline and the Margaret Hunt Hill and Margaret McDermott Bridges. The route is mostly on paved trails with some unpaved sections. The course will remain open for one hour.

Race entry is free and includes a race bib. Chip timing is available for an additional fee for certain distances, and merchandise may be purchased. Virtual entry carries a fee and includes shipment of event items; virtual packets submitted after June 11 may ship after the event date.
The event supports fundraising for the Blue Guardian Foundation, a Dallas based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides financial assistance to law enforcement officers and families facing death, severe injury, serious illness, or other catastrophic events. The event depends on donated time and money; a variety of volunteer roles are listed, including packet pickup, event registration, water stops, course marshals, finish line support, and cleanup.
