Deena Andrus Memorial Run For the Ages 10k Trail Chase
The event is an annual trail race of 10 km held in Nolde Forest in Reading, Pennsylvania. A portion of the race proceeds is donated to the Friends of Nolde Forest. The event has a capacity of 250 entries.
Online registration closes Thursday, June 12 at 11:59 PM ET. Entry fees are listed as $30 through June 7 with a guaranteed swag item, then $35 after that until race day or until the field reaches capacity. Bib pickup is scheduled in the morning before the race.
The race uses an age graded staggered start system. Start waves are organized in five year age groups and alternate between sexes; older runners receive head starts determined by age and gender. The handicaps are based on World Masters Association age grading and comparisons with local race results. The stated objective of the wave system is to have top finishers from multiple waves finish at nearly the same time.
