11th Annual Run for Rowan 5K
The Rowan University Alumni Association and Rowan Campus Recreation present the 11th annual Run for Rowan 5K on Rowan University’s Glassboro campus with a virtual participation window. The on-campus event takes place on April 25, 2026, while virtual participants may complete the 3.1-mile distance any time between April 25 and May 1, 2026. Registration is open through April 10, 2026.
The event offers both in-person and virtual options across several participant categories: youth (ages 0–17), adults (ages 18 and older), and currently enrolled Rowan students. Registration pricing covers packet shipping; race packets are shipped directly to participants and on-site packet pickup is not available.
Proceeds from the event benefit Flying First, Rowan’s initiative that provides academic resources and community support for first-generation students. All registered participants receive a Run for Rowan 5K t-shirt and a full-color commemorative medal.
For in-person starters the race uses a two-wave start to manage participant density; wave assignments and awards are determined by chip time. The course includes campus paths and adjacent neighborhood streets. Additional event details and frequently asked questions are provided by the organizers.
