Run For R.O.A.R.

Run For R.O.A.R. is a community 5K held in Russell, Pennsylvania on May 29, 2027. The event takes place near 17 N. Main St., with the start located close to the Russell Church parking lot. The race is held rain or shine and benefits R.O.A.R. and the Eisenhower Cross Country team.

The course is an out-and-back that is generally flat on the return. Runners follow Old Route 62, turn right onto Woodland Drive, left onto Williams Street, continue right into Pine Grove Boulevard, and traverse the loop in Green Briar Circle before returning the same way. The finish includes a loop by the post office on Conewango Street and a straight finish onto East St.

Registration opens February 1, 2027 and closes April 30, 2027. A discounted registration fee of $20 applies through April 30, 2027. A multiple-registration discount of $10 is available for groups of three or more through April 30, 2027. T-shirt orders are guaranteed through May 17, 2027; after that date shirts are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Parking is available at the Russell Volunteer Fire Department, 111 Perrigo Lane, Russell, PA 16345. Awards include top three overall male and female and the top finisher in each age group for male and female competitors; age groups are 1-12, 13-17, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+. After-race refreshments include water, chocolate milk, oranges, and bananas; coffee, bottled water, cookies, and donuts will be offered for sale.
