Run for Resilience Ostomy 5K - Birmingham
The 9th Annual Run for Resilience Ostomy 5K is scheduled for October 3, 2026 at EBSCO Industries West Gate Park at Railroad Park in Birmingham, AL. The event coincides with Ostomy Awareness Day and is held to raise awareness and funds for the United Ostomy Associations of America, Inc. (UOAA), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Donations are tax deductible.
Event offerings include organized 5K competition with separate Open and Ostomate categories, plus a 1 mile walk and fun run. Awards are planned for top finishers in the Open and Ostomate categories. Race packets containing a race bag, T shirt and bib are available for pickup on the morning of the event.
Registration details: registration opens April 1, 2026 and closes August 1, 2026. The registration fee is $30. Fundraising options are available; participants who raise $150 or more receive a refund of their registration fee. Additional fundraising levels are listed as Empower at $250 or more and Champion at $450 or more, with awards to be determined. A referral program offers a $20 refund to participants who invite five other registrants to participate. Event registration protection is offered for an additional fee and is subject to policy terms.
