Run for Resilience Ostomy 5K : Birmingham
The 9th Annual Run for Resilience Ostomy 5K takes place in Birmingham, AL at EBSCO Industries West Gate Park at Railroad Park on October 3, 2026. The event includes two 5K race categories: an Open division and an Ostomate division, each with awards for top finishers.
Participants can pick up race bags, T shirts and bibs on the morning of the event. There is an option to create or join a race group or team for the event; group registration is separate from personal or team fundraising activities. Fundraising is a core component: raising $150 or more qualifies a participant to receive a registration fee refund. Additional fundraising levels are defined as Empower at $250 or more and Champion at $450 or more; Champion level fundraisers also receive the Empower level award.
Proceeds benefit the United Ostomy Associations of America, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports people living with an ostomy or continent diversion. The event offers registration insurance for an additional fee to allow refunds for qualifying reasons under the insurance policy.
