Run for Resilience Ostomy 5k, Durham NC
The Run for Resilience Ostomy 5k is scheduled for October 3, 2026, on the American Tobacco Trail at 8160 Renaissance Parkway in Durham, North Carolina. The event supports the United Ostomy Associations of America (UOAA), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit; proceeds benefit UOAA programs for people living with an ostomy or continent diversion.

Registration opens April 13, 2026. Deadlines vary by entry type: 5K registration closes July 24, 2026, while kids race registration remains open through October 3, 2026. Published fees are $38 for 5K entries and $25 for the kids dash.
Prizes will be awarded to the top male and female overall finishers, top male and female in each age group, and the top male and female ostomates. Registration bags are expected to include race and sponsor materials, ostomy education items, and may include an ostomy pouch; organizers encourage non-ostomate participants to wear a pouch to improve awareness and empathy.
Fundraising options include personal and team fundraisers. Fundraising refunds and incentives include a refund of the registration fee for individuals who raise $150 or more, designated Empower and Champion fundraising levels at $250+ and $450+, and a referral program that refunds $20 when five additional people register.
