Run For Resilience Ostomy 5K - 12th Annual
The Run For Resilience Ostomy 5K is scheduled for October 4, 2026 at Solite Park on the American Tobacco Trail in Durham, North Carolina. The event marks the 12th annual run and coincides with Ostomy Awareness Day. Proceeds benefit the United Ostomy Associations of America, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides support, education, and advocacy for people living with an ostomy or continent diversion.
Race formats include a community 5K with separate open and ostomate entries and a short kids dash for ages 2 to 8 that will take place at the race start and finish area.
Registration opens May 17, 2026 and some registration windows close by July 31, 2026. Regular registration fees listed for the event are $30 for 5K entries and $20 for the kids dash. Event registration protection is available as an optional purchase at checkout.
Fundraising options are part of the event. Participants who raise $150 or more are eligible to receive a refund of their registration fee. Additional fundraising levels are listed at $250 and $450 with associated incentives. The event also supports team registration and offers a referral program that provides a partial refund when five additional people register using a participant referral.
