Run for Recovery takes place at Franklin Park Playstead in Boston, MA on May 17, 2026. The event is associated with the Boston Bulldogs Running Club, a co‑ed 501(c)(3) non‑profit established in 2015 that provides an anonymous and safe community of support for people adversely affected by addiction and their families and caregivers.
The course at Franklin Park is part of the Frederick Law Olmsted Emerald Necklace park system. The route surface is reported as 99% grass and dirt.
Distances and participation options
- 5K race
- 1 Loop Walk (all participants)
- 1 Mile Walk (virtual entry available)
Registration is offered both in person and online. In‑person fees through May 17 are Adult (15+) $35, Age 14 and under $20, and 1 Loop Walk $20; in‑person fees increase on race day. Virtual registration fees are Adult (15+) $40 online, Age 14 and under $25 online, and 1 Mile Walk $25 online.
Awards are given to the overall top three male and female finishers, and first place is awarded in these age groups: 10 & under; 11‑15; 16‑19; 20‑29; 30‑39; 40‑49; 50‑59; 60‑69; 70‑79; 80+.
