Run For Rangers : Dahlonega, GA
Run For Rangers is a two-day running event held Saturday November 14 and Sunday November 15, 2026 in Dahlonega, Georgia. Races take place at Hancock Park with the half marathon held at Camp Merrill. Parking is described as abundant and event organizers note that safety precautions will be taken.

The half marathon follows forestry service roads used by US Rangers and runs close to the Appalachian Trail. The course is mostly off-pavement and includes two steep hills and starts and finishes on the airfield at Camp Merrill. Food and beverage service is available on post at The Overhang after the event, including beer and wine and a full menu. Saturday features surrounding festivities in Historic Downtown Dahlonega such as the annual Veterans Day parade, a kids play area, and an all-day music festival.
Awards are given for overall male and female, masters male and female, and age-group placings. Age-group structures differ slightly by race; top overall male and female in each category receive a custom crafted Ranger plaque. Pre-registration is strongly requested for planning.
