Run for Paws 5K - Benefiting the Lantz Tucker Memorial Fund
Run for Paws is a fundraising event held at Frontier Park in Olathe, Kansas, to support the Lantz Tucker Memorial Fund. The event includes an in-person 5K and a virtual 5K option. All funds raised are used to pay urgent veterinary bills for pets in need.
Registration opens June 23, 2027. The in-person registration period closes October 8, 2027, and the virtual registration period closes October 9, 2027. The registration fee is $40.
Packet pickup is available the evening before the race at Shelter 1 in Frontier Park and on race morning at the park. Dogs are welcome at the in-person event if they are friendly with people and other dogs; dog registrations include a doggie t-shirt.
The virtual option allows participants to complete the 5K anywhere and submit their time online to be included with other virtual participants. The Lantz Tucker Memorial Fund provides financial help for urgent pet medical care and reports that donations have been used to pay vet bills directly. The fund has donated over $402,000 since April 2020 and helped keep 1006 pets in their homes.
