About the race
Run For Jimmy 5k / 1 Mile Walk is a remembrance event held on September 19, 2026, in Billings, Montana, to raise awareness of suicide and its links with addiction. The activities take place in the parking lot east of the Airport Roundabout, near 1901 Terminal Cir, Billings, MT 59105.
The program includes two distances:
- 3.1 Miles chip timed 5k run
- 1 Mile untimed walk
Registration details differ by event. The 5k registration opens August 28, 2026 and the 1-mile walk registration opens September 4, 2026; both registrations close on September 19, 2026. There is no registration fee. The organizer is accepting optional donations.
T-shirts will be available on the day of the event on a first come, first served basis. Race bib pickup is available on Friday, September 18, 2026 at the small shelter in South Park, Billings, MT from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM, and also on the morning of the event from 7:30 AM to 8:45 AM.
