Run for Isaac 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run Walk
Run for Isaac is a community running event held on October 17, 2026, at Tamaqua Area High School, 500 Penn Street, Tamaqua, PA 18252. The event is presented by the Penn State Hazleton PTA Club and raises funds to establish a memorial scholarship in honor of a local alumnus and student.
Two distances are offered:
- 5K
- 1 mile fun run and walk
The 5K follows the Tamaqua Area cross country course and is mostly a trail route with a track start and finish in Raider Stadium. The 1 mile fun run and walk is conducted on the Raiders Stadium track as four laps; this distance is untimed and does not include awards.
Participants who register by October 2 are guaranteed a T shirt; registrations after that date receive shirts while supplies last. Post event snacks are included and coffee and breakfast items will be available for purchase. Entry fees listed in the event materials include a reduced rate for early registration and a higher fee after the early registration deadline. Awards for the 5K include first overall male and female plus top three male and female in the following age groups: 14 and under, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, and 60 and over.
