Event Overview
The Run for Hope Walk in Unity is an interfaith community event held at Bonnie Wenk Park in McKinney, Texas. This second annual gathering brings together local faith communities, leaders, and nonprofit partners to support NeighborHub. The initiative raises funds for essential services such as food, health, education, and rental assistance for vulnerable neighbors in the local area.
The event features multiple participation options:
- 5K Run (3.1 miles)
- 1 Mile Walk
The courses are situated on the south side of Bonnie Wenk Park, with participants moving through the scenic areas of the park grounds. Both the start and finish lines are located near the central event area.
In addition to the run and walk, the event includes Unity Fest, which features various foods, activities, and games available for attendees. The 5K Run is a chip-timed race. Registration for the paid events includes a Run for Hope t-shirt. A free option is also available for the 1 Mile Walk which does not include a t-shirt.
