Run for Hope - Trail Creek

Run for Hope is a community 5K event held in Trail Creek, Indiana on September 12, 2026 at Nelson Park (intersection of Edgemoor Dr and Whipporwill Ave). The event is organized by the Friends of Swanson Center to raise suicide awareness, support mental health, and reduce stigma surrounding mental illness in LaPorte County.

Participants include runners, walkers, families, friends, and community supporters of all ages. Registration opens May 31, 2026 and closes September 12, 2026. The registration fee is $40. Participants registered by August 1, 2026 are guaranteed a commemorative event T-shirt and finisher medal.

Early packet pick-up is available the evening before the event at Swanson Center – Michigan City, 7224 W 400 N, in the back pavilion behind the main building on September 11, 2026. Packets will also be available the morning of the event at registration tables.

Swanson Center has provided mental and behavioral health services in LaPorte County since 1969. This event supports that mission and promotes open conversation about mental health and wellness. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
