Run for Hope 5k Fun Run/Walk
Murphy Church holds its Second Annual Run for Hope, a 5k run and walk that benefits Buckner Shoes for Orphan Souls. The event collects new shoes and socks for the Buckner program; the collection period runs from January 11 to March 1. Registration for the run is fulfilled by donating a new pair of shoes or socks.
The route follows a trail next to the church, descends toward Ruth Back Toler Park, returns along the same trail, and finishes uphill back at the church. The course length is 5k and includes a crossing of Brand Road where a safety team will advise on crossing.
