Run for East Lake 5K & Fun Run
The Run for East Lake 5K & Fun Run takes place on August 8, 2026, in the East Lake neighborhood of Atlanta. The event is hosted by the East Lake Foundation and presented by the East Lake Family YMCA. Start and finish are at Charles R. Drew Charter School’s Junior and Senior Academy.

The 5K course weaves through the East Lake community and highlights the Villages of East Lake, the East Lake Family YMCA, and Charlie Yates Golf Course. The route also passes through the back nine holes of the historic East Lake Golf Club, which will host the TOUR Championship August 26-30, 2026.
The Fun Run is a single 400 meter lap on the school track in front of Charles R. Drew Charter School’s Junior and Senior Academy. It is open to all ages and is scheduled after the 5K.
Registration opens March 16, 2026. Registration for the 5K closes April 19, 2026; registration for the Fun Run remains open through August 8, 2026. Published entry fees are $30.00 for the 5K and $20.00 for the Fun Run. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
