Run for Dunn - Boise, ID

Run for Dunn is an annual community fun run and walk organized to promote melanoma awareness and sun safety. The event began in 2011 as a rally to support a person diagnosed with Stage IV melanoma and developed into a recurring fundraising and support effort. It is held at Kristin Armstrong Municipal Park in Boise and follows the Boise Greenbelt, with the course starting and ending near the park shelter.

The run/walk is approximately three miles and is presented as an all-ages event with separate kid and adult fun run/walk categories. Organizers partner with Mountain Pine Dermatology and St. Luke’s Cancer Institute to provide free skin cancer screenings to registered participants. All participants receive access to those screenings, a Run for Dunn t-shirt, and lunch.

Packet pick-up is available on the day of the event at the Municipal Park shelter. Registration by May 11 guarantees a t-shirt size; registration remains open after that date, including walk-up entries, but preferred shirt sizing is not guaranteed. Virtual participants and those unable to attend in person will be mailed shirts or given other post-race pick-up arrangements. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
