Run for BCAWS 5K
This event in Alcoa, Tennessee includes a human 5K race and a pet friendly one mile walk/run. Distances offered:

The course for the 5K starts and ends at the Alcoa Public Works & Engineering Building near Springbrook Pool and Alcoa Elementary School. The 5K follows an out and back route using local roads and the Alcoa/Maryville Greenway. The one mile course follows similar roads and pathways and is arranged so it will not interrupt 5K foot traffic.
Registration opens 10/27/2025 and closes 6/12/2026. Registration fees are $35 for the 5K and $20 for the one mile event. All 5K runners receive an event T shirt; the shirt size cutoff date is 6/1/2026.
Awards for the 5K include top three male and female overall placements and age group awards in roughly ten year increments: under 10, 11 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, and 60 plus. Dogs in the one mile event receive a treat at the finish line. After the main events a Field of Fun will offer obstacle style activities, toys, and other pet friendly activities.
Restrooms are available at the start and finish area only. An aid station with water will be stocked at the turnaround point. Parking is at the listed event address.
