Coventry 10K
The Coventry 10K is a city centre road race that follows part of the Coventry Half Marathon route. The course heads down Moseley Avenue and Holyhead Road, then turns back for the final 3K to the finish at Cox Street by Coventry Cathedral. The distance is 10 km.
The event takes place on the same day as the Coventry Half Marathon and attracts a large number of runners and spectators. Entrants must be aged 15 or over on the day of the race.
Included for participants are a finisher medal, chip timing, a goody bag and an optional finisher's t-shirt. Water stations offering 330ml bottles are placed on course with recycling bins at each station. Pacers provided by Arla Protein carry visible flags with target finish times. First aid is available at fixed stations near water points, with an additional first aid and recovery unit close to the start and finish and roaming first aiders in the Event Village.
The Event Village, located near the race hub, will host partner charities and food and drink concessions. Baggage is stored in the Coventry University student hub and must use the baggage label from the race number. Photography is provided by MarathonPhotos and official results are published after the event. Sustainable measures include JogOn trainer drop-off stations and recycling facilities.
