Kenilworth Half Marathon
The Kenilworth event comprises a one lap half marathon and a 5k that use parts of the town and nearby countryside. The half marathon course starts and finishes at the clock tower in Kenilworth, passes through Kenilworth Castle and continues into Warwickshire countryside. The route is described as "undulating and interesting" and is run on closed roads.
The 5k follows the same route as the half marathon until around mile 2, where it splits to return to the finish. Water stations are provided at approximately two mile intervals with plastic free cups; large bags are provided for cup disposal after each station. Portable toilets are available near Abbey End and additional portaloos are placed on the course.
To reduce waste, long sleeved technical T shirts are offered separately during entry for a fee and are collected from the finish by those who ordered them. Only bone conduction ear phones are permitted during the race. Car parking is available in several town car parks for a fee and on some roads, though spaces may fill; local entrants are asked to consider walking or cycling to the event. Professional race photographers take images that are made available after the race. Entries for the 2026 event open on 2 December and the event returns on 6 September 2026.
