Kenilworth Half Marathon
The Kenilworth event comprises a half marathon and a 5k organised by Kenilworth Runners. The half marathon is a single lap route that starts and finishes at the clock tower in Kenilworth and passes through Kenilworth Castle before going into Warwickshire countryside. The course is described as undulating and interesting and is run on closed roads.
Race facilities include water stations approximately every two miles with plastic free cups and large bags for disposal near each station. Portable toilets are provided next to the public toilets near Abbey End and additional portaloos are positioned on the course. Only bone conduction ear phones are permitted in the race.
Car parking is available in several town car parks for a fee and on some roads; these parking areas may fill quickly and local runners are requested to walk or cycle to the event. Long sleeved technical tops can be ordered during race entry for £10 and are collected at the finish for those who ordered them. Professional race day photographers take images that are available online after the event. The organisers maintain race results and records for past editions and note that the half marathon course has changed several times over the years.
