Kenilworth Half Marathon
The event offers two race distances:
- Half Marathon one lap through the town and surrounding countryside
- 5k which follows the same route until mile 2 then returns to the finish
The one-lap half marathon starts and finishes at the clock tower on the High Street and passes through 12th century Kenilworth Castle before heading into Warwickshire countryside. The course is run on closed roads and is described as undulating and interesting. The 5k separates from the half marathon around mile 2.
Entries for the 2026 event reopen on 2 December and the races will be held on 6 September 2026. The event separates the race entry and the event top: long-sleeved technical T-shirts can be ordered during entry for £10 and are collected at the finish for those who requested them.
Facilities and race arrangements include parking in several town car parks (fee payable) and some on-street parking, portable toilets near Abbey End, a few additional portaloos on course, and water stations approximately every 2 miles offering plastic-free cups. Only bone conduction earphones are permitted. Professional race photographers will provide images after the event.
The half marathon course has changed several times over the years; race records are kept for the fastest male and female times across all course versions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
