Run For A Vet offers 5K and Half Marathon events on a scenic asphalt trail along Table Rock Lake in Branson. The event supports the Branson Veterans of America 913, with all proceeds going to assist local veterans and their families. All finishers receive a medal, with trophies for top performers.

Race Details

The Run For A Vet is scheduled for Saturday, June 6, 2026. It takes place in Branson, Missouri, at the Dewey Short Visitor Center on State Highway 165.

Course Information

The races start at the Dewey Short Visitor Center and use the Lakeshore Trail to the State Park Marina. The course is on an asphalt-surfaced trail. The 5K is a single loop of 3.1 miles. The Half Marathon consists of three loops of 4.36 miles each. The route offers views of Table Rock Lake.

Registration and Logistics

Packet pickup is available on the Friday before the race. Race day registration opens at 6:00 AM. All race proceeds benefit the local Branson Veterans of America 913 (BVA913) chapter, a not-for-profit organization supporting American veterans and their families. To be guaranteed a race t-shirt, participants must register by May 25, 2026.

Awards

All participants receive a finisher’s medal. Trophies are awarded to the Overall Male and Female winners, as well as Overall Masters Male and Female winners (40 and above). Age group awards are presented for both male and female participants in the following categories: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+.
