Event Information
The Run for a Reason event is scheduled for Saturday, February 21, 2026. It takes place at Ed Austin Regional Park in Jacksonville, Florida. The event offers three race options:
- A 5K Run
- A 10K Run
- A Youth 1 Mile Fun Run
Proceeds from the event benefit the Angel Kids Foundation, which aims to improve health outcomes for children and families. The event will be professionally chip-timed by Second Wind Race Timing. Awards are given for overall winners in the 5K and 10K races, and age group award certificates are emailed to finishers in numerous categories.
Course Details
The 5K course is described as an out-and-back run along the Ed Austin walkway. The start and finish are located near a football field. The 10K course consists of two laps of the 5K route.
