Run Durham Hamsterley Remembrance Day 10 Miler - 8 November 2026
The event is a 10 Miles forest run in Hamsterley Forest. The course starts at the Nest Car Park and forms one large loop that returns to the same area. The first five miles include steady climbs and the route is described as hilly on multi terrain. The run is traffic free and takes place on forest drive and trails.
Chip timing is provided by Timing4Sport on an accurately measured route. All finishers receive a bespoke medal and an optional race T-shirt is available for an extra cost. Entry includes a discounted parking code for Hamsterley Forest provided with the race pack.
Entries are limited to 250 and close on 2nd November 2026. Entry fees are £24 for affiliated runners and £26 for unaffiliated runners. The minimum entry age is 17. Entries on the day are possible by signing up at Race HQ.
Race HQ and registration are at Hamsterley Forest, County Durham DL13 3NL, with registration open from 09:30am to 10:45am on the event day. Facilities at Race HQ include bag drop, toilets, changing, parking in the Nest Car Park, first aid, and refreshments. Water stations are provided approximately every 3 miles and distance markers are placed every mile.
Prizes include individual trophies and vouchers for 1st to 3rd overall, age group prizes subject to minimum entry numbers, and team prizes for UKA affiliated clubs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
