Run Durham Hamsterley Remembrance Day 10 Miler
The event takes place on 8th November 2026 at Hamsterley Forest, Redford Lane, Bishop Auckland DL13. The course distance is 10 Miles on multi terrain with a hilly profile. The minimum age to enter is 17. Entries are limited to 250 and close on 2nd November 2026. Affiliated entry and unaffiliated entry fees are listed as separate categories.
The route starts and finishes at the Nest Car Park. The first 5 miles include steady climbs before the course turns and returns to the start area as a large loop. The route is traffic free within the forest and includes distance markers every mile. Chip timing is used and is provided by Timing4Sport. All finishers receive a bespoke finisher medal and an optional race T shirt is available at extra cost. The entry fee includes a discounted parking code provided with the race pack.
Event facilities are based at Hamsterley Forest Race HQ. Registration and race day services include bag drop, toilets, changing, first aid and refreshments. Water stations are provided approximately every 3 miles. Prizes include individual trophies and vouchers for the first three male and female finishers, age group awards in five year bands subject to minimum entries, and team prizes for UKA affiliated clubs.
Cars are charged for Forest Drive parking at £3 each and £5 on bank holiday weekends. Minibuses and coaches have separate charges and there is no charge for visitors on foot. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
