Run Durham Hamsterley Remembrance Day : 10 Mile (8 November 2026)

The event is a 10 mile forest race at Hamsterley Forest, starting and finishing at the Nest Car Park near the middle of the Hamsterley Forest Drive. The course is an accurately measured, traffic-free loop with steady climbs in the first 5 miles. The surface is multi-terrain and the profile is described as hilly. Chip timing is provided by Timing4Sport. The entry fee includes a bespoke finisher medal and discounted parking using a race discount code; an optional race T-shirt is available at extra cost. Entry fees are £24 (affiliated) and £26 (unaffiliated). Entries are limited to 250 and close on 2 November 2026. Minimum age to enter is 17. Water stations are provided approximately every 3 miles and there are distance markers every mile. The event is a 5 mile race at the same Hamsterley Forest location, beginning and ending at the Nest Car Park. The course is described as an out-and-back route with steady climbs near the turnaround and a generally flatter, downhill return. The surface is multi-terrain and the profile is hilly. Chip timing is provided by Timing4Sport. All finishers receive a bespoke medal; an optional race T-shirt is available at extra cost. Entry fees are £17 (affiliated) and £19 (unaffiliated). Entries are limited to 200 and close on 2 November 2026. Minimum age to enter is 15. A water station is located at 3 miles and there are distance markers every mile. Team and individual prizes mirror the 10 mile event structure.
