Greenville Journal Run Downtown 5K
The Greenville Journal Run Downtown 5K is a long-standing athletic event held in Greenville, South Carolina. Established in 1979, the race takes place annually on the third Saturday of January. The 2027 edition marks the 48th year of this competition, which is recognized as one of the oldest and largest running events of its distance in the state.
The event is presented by the Greenville Track Club and receives sponsorship from the Greenville Journal. It is an official part of the Greenville Track Club running series and serves as a Corporate Shield event. The course begins and ends in the vicinity of South Main Street.
