Run & Cube 5K
The Run & Cube 5K takes place on July 14, 2027 at Delta Dental, Two Dental Drive, Concord, NH 03301. The event distance is 3.1 Miles. Registration opens March 22, 2027 and closes July 14, 2027. The registration fee is $25.00.
At bib pickup each participant receives a scrambled 3x3x3 cube similar to a Rubik's Cube. Runners may attempt to solve the cube before the race starts or while they are running. Runners should work independently to solve their own cube. If a runner solves at least one side they can present the cube to the timing crew at the finish to receive a time deduction.
Time deductions are applied as follows: 1 side = 1 minute; 2 sides = 1.5 minutes; 3 sides = 2 minutes; 4 sides = 2.5 minutes; 5 sides = 3 minutes; all 6 sides = 5 minutes. Full size cubes with the race logo will be awarded to the fastest running cubers based on final time after any deductions.
Fifty percent of race proceeds will go toward the organization of the first ever speed cubing competition in the Madeira, a semi-independent small group of islands 200 miles off the coast of Morocco, and fifty percent will go to local school's Math Teams. The race uses the usual Delta Dental 5K course in Concord NH. Refreshments will be available post race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
