Run & Cube 5K in Concord, NH

The Run & Cube 5K is a 3.1 mile running event held on the usual Delta Dental 5K course in Concord, NH on 07/15/2026. At check-in each participant receives a scrambled 3x3x3 cube similar to a Rubik's Cube. Runners may attempt to solve the cube before the race or while running.

If a runner has solved at least one side when they finish, they may present the cube to the timing crew to receive a time deduction. Deductions are fixed by number of sides solved: 1 side equals 1 minute, 2 sides equals 1.5 minutes, 3 sides equals 2 minutes, 4 sides equals 2.5 minutes, 5 sides equals 3 minutes, and all 6 sides equals 5 minutes. Full size cubes with the race logo are awarded to the fastest running cubers based on final times after any deductions.

Registration carries a fee of $25.00. Fifty percent of race proceeds will support the organization of a first ever speed cubing competition in the Madeira, described in the event text as a semi-independent small group of islands 200 miles off the coast of Morocco, and the other fifty percent will go to local schools' Math Teams.
