Run Bolton Abbey 2026
Run Bolton Abbey is a trail running event on Sunday 8 November 2026 at Bolton Abbey Estate in North Yorkshire. The event offers a range of distances and takes place on estate paths that are not usually open to the public; routes were revised in 2022 and now run around the Abbey.
Distances offered:
- Half marathon (13.1 miles)
- 10 miles
- 10k
- 2.4 mile family fun run
The course is trail-based and hilly, run as a single lap. There are strict cut offs for the 10 mile and half marathon distances. The event has an entry limit of 1200 places and the race is not suitable for wheelchairs. Race headquarters are on the field opposite Cavendish Pavilions. Facilities at the event include water and toilets; there are no distance markers, no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage storage.
Parking is free all day (usually a paid facility). Each finisher will receive a medal made from fallen trees from the Bolton Abbey Estate. Entry on the day is not available. All proceeds from the event support the care provided by Sue Ryder.
