Event overview

Run Bolton Abbey takes place on 8 November 2026 at Bolton Abbey, North Yorkshire. The event offers multiple distances on trails within the Bolton Abbey Estate, including sections not usually open to the public. A one-minute silence for Remembrance Day will be observed at the start/finish area. All proceeds from the event go to Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice.

Course and facilities

The course is trail terrain with a hilly profile and is run as a single lap. Routes were revised in 2022 to run around the Abbey and the 10k route was made easier. The event is not suitable for wheelchairs. Race headquarters is the field opposite Cavendish Pavilions. Facilities listed for the event include water stations and toilets. There are no distance markers, no changing facilities, no showers, and no baggage store. A finisher medal made from fallen trees from the Bolton Abbey Estate is presented to each finisher.

Entries and fees

Entry is limited to 1,200 participants; remaining places were listed as 1,196. Entry on the day is not available. Entry fees (including free all-day parking) are: half marathon £32.00, 10 miles £26.00, 10k £21.00, and 2.4 mile family fun run £8.00.
