Run Bolton Abbey 2026
Run Bolton Abbey 2026 is a trail running event held at Bolton Abbey Estate in North Yorkshire on Sunday 8 November 2026. The event is organised by Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice and raises funds for the hospice.
Distances offered include:
- Half marathon 13.1 miles
- 10 mile 10 miles
- 10K 10 kilometres (approx 6.2 miles)
- 2.4 mile family fun run 2.4 miles
The course is a single-lap, hilly trail route that uses parts of the estate not usually accessible to the public. Organisers revised the routes for 2022; the 10K route is described as considerably easier than before. There are strict cut-offs for the 10 mile and half marathon distances. The event is not suitable for wheelchairs. Entry is limited to 1200 places and entry on the day is not available.
Race facilities listed include water and toilets. There are no distance markers, no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage storage. Race headquarters is on a field opposite Cavendish Pavilions. Parking is free all day with entries, and a finisher medal made from fallen trees on the estate is presented to each finisher. A one minute silence for Remembrance Day will be observed at 11am on race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
