Run Balmoral - 4 and 5 April 2026
Run Balmoral is a weekend of organised races held on the Balmoral Estate in Ballater, Scotland. The event takes place across two days and uses routes on the Balmoral Estate and in Royal Deeside. The venue postcode is AB35 5TB.
The event has operated since 1998 and has been managed by the community based company Balmoral Road Races Ltd since 2005. It is a not for profit company limited by guarantee and income from the event is reinvested into future editions.
A small team of two directors runs the event with the support of a large group of volunteers. The event also receives support from a number of long term sponsors. An annual report summarising each year’s event is produced.
The programme includes a mix of road and trail distances and specific races for school age participants. Distances offered include:
- 1.5 km primary school race
- 2.5 km secondary school race
- 5 km
- 10 km
- 6 miles
- 15 miles
- 30.3 miles
