Event Overview
The Run! Ballantyne event, presented by Northwood Office, is a running tradition in the Ballantyne community. The 22nd annual event will take place on May 30, 2026. In 2024, the event had over 1,400 participants. It is a YMCA of Greater Charlotte signature event supporting the organization's Annual Fund.
Distances
Participants can choose from three courses:
- 8K Run (4.97 miles)
- 5K Run/Walk
- Fun Run
The courses go through Ballantyne Corporate Park and use new greenway connections. All finishers receive a custom finisher medal.
Event Details
The event starts and finishes at The Amp Ballantyne, located at 11115 Upper Avenue in Charlotte, North Carolina. A post-race party with a live DJ and festivities will be held at the Ballantyne Bowl.
Team participation is encouraged, with awards for the largest teams in each division and the fastest overall team. The event has a tiered pricing structure, with fees increasing as the race date approaches. Registrations are non-refundable and cannot be deferred due to the fundraising nature of the event.
