Run Aintree Half Marathon, 10k & 5k - 3 January 2027
Run Aintree takes place at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool on 3 January 2027. The event offers three distances held entirely within the racecourse grounds on smooth, pace-friendly paths. The course is mostly tarmac with a short trail section through the centre of the racecourse and includes clear kilometre markers and marshal support.
Included with entry are a unique themed medal, free race photos, chip-timed results, post race goodies and a bag drop. Water is provided approximately every 5 km on the half marathon and 10k; the 5k does not pass a water station. Results contribute to a national ranking service.
Minimum ages are set for each distance: 17 years for the half marathon, 15 years for the 10k and 11 years for the 5k. Wheelchair athletes and buggy runners are welcome, though some narrow sections require runners to remain to the outer edge unless overtaking. Only assistance dogs are permitted inside the racecourse; running with other dogs is not allowed.
There is limited free parking on site and an event village with food and drink options. Organisers ask to be contacted if a half marathon finish is expected to take more than three hours, as special arrangements may be needed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
