Purpose and beneficiaries
Proceeds support water projects in the highlands of Guatemala. Projects are designed and built by Engineers Without Borders at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. The event’s mission is to acknowledge the importance of water and to demonstrate solidarity with communities that must travel for water.
Virtual race and results
The virtual event may be completed during the event date range. Virtual entries are timed using the RaceJoy app so participants can submit results and view mapped distance. Awards for virtual participants are mailed after the event.
Awards and location
Top three female and top three male finishers receive recognition and a medal. The fastest male and female receive a bonus prize. The largest team receives a traveling trophy to keep for one year.
