Event Overview
The Run 4 Hope 5K is a run and walk event taking place on Saturday, May 30, 2026. It supports the American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge program, which provides free lodging for cancer patients and their caregivers who travel for treatment.
Course & Format
The event is held on the trails of the Bath Township Nature Preserve at Bath Community Park in Akron, Ohio. The event has two main participation options:
- Run For Hope 5K Run/Walk: An in-person, chip-timed, competitive 5K run with awards for top finishers.
- VIRTUAL Run For Hope 5K Run/Walk: A virtual option where participants can complete a 5K on their own schedule and have the event shirt mailed to them.
Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three males and females in multiple age categories.
Registration & Logistics
The registration fee for the in-person event is $35, while the virtual option costs $40. A shirt is included with registration if participants sign up by a specified early deadline. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
