Event
The Rumpus in Bumpass Triathlon takes place on April 18, 2026 in Bumpass, VA. Events offered include individual, aquabike and relay options in both Olympic and Sprint distances. Events are open to ages 12 and up. Relay teams are priced per team and may include two or three people.

Location and course
The race is hosted at Pleasants Landing Marina on Lake Anna, 349 Pleasants Landing Road, Bumpass, VA 23024. The swim takes place in the southeast portion of Lake Anna, about 1/4 mile from where the lake’s hot side empties into the cold side. That location typically produces water temperatures about 4-6 degrees warmer than other parts of the lake in late April. Course maps are provided by the organizer.
Logistics and race features
This is a USA Triathlon (USAT) sanctioned event. The swim start uses a time trial format, with athletes started two at a time and seeded by swim or overall expected time; an Elite Box Start is used to place top contenders at the front. Registration includes a finisher medal, long-sleeved tech shirt, custom race socks, reusable packet bag, timed results, age group awards, a post-race meal, finisher certificate, and free finish-line photos.
