Rumble in the Jungle 5K Run/Walk/Fun Run : Woodside, DE
The event is a community running event held at POLYTECH High School in Woodside, Delaware on August 23, 2026. It raises money for the Polytech Cross Country student athletes and includes a main 5K plus additional entries for walkers, students, and young children.
Event offerings include:
- 5K run/walk
- Competitive walking 5K - walk entire race, no running or jogging
- Student 5K registration - students only
- Free kids fun run for ages 6 and under
Registration fees listed for standard entries include a 5K fee of $39.03 and a student 5K fee of $28.38; the kids fun run is free. Race amenities include race shirts, post-race refreshments, and music. No dogs are allowed on the course due to insurance liability. Bibs are non-transferable and registrations are non-refundable.
Timing is chip based using the MYLAPS BibTag system. Top finisher awards for overall male and female and overall masters are scored by gun time; age group awards and most other placings are scored by chip (net) time. Results will be posted online during and after the event. Photos will be posted on the event organizer's Facebook page following the race.
