Rumble in the Jungle 5k Run/Walk/Fun Run
This event is a community 5K run and walk with a separate kids fun run for children aged six and under. It takes place on August 23, 2026, at POLYTECH High School on Walnut Shade Road in Woodside, DE. The event raises money for the Polytech Cross Country student athletes.

Registration categories and fees shown include:
- Standard 5K registration ($39.03)
- Competitive walking 5K with mandatory walking only ($39.03)
- Student 5K registration for students only ($28.38)
- Free kids fun run for ages 6 and under
Race amenities include race shirts, post race refreshments, and music. Timing is by R2R Timing using the MYLAPS BibTag chip system. Results will be posted online during and after the event. Photos will be posted to the organizer's Facebook page after the race.
Awards are given to top finishers overall and in masters, and to the top three in 10 year age groups from 13 and under through 80 and over. Walkers have separate top three awards. Event policies note no dogs on course due to insurance liability, bibs are non transferable, and there are no refunds. Registration periods shown run from Feb 20 through Aug 23.
